The Queen of the Mississippi river cruiser recently departed from New Orleans on its inaugural Mississippi river cruise, becoming the first newly built paddle wheeler to sail the Mississippi in 17 years. Mississippi river cruising ground to a halt in 2008 with the demise of the Majestic America Line, whose three boats - American Queen, Delta Queen and Mississippi Queen, departed regularly from New Orleans.
