Universal Studio in SG in S$72 and convert in RM172.80. So it is cheaper in Legoland. But compare the money worth of This RM140 is a QUESTION MARK! Is the entertainment value worth?
Cleanliness? Informative? ............. a lot of things to look into it and how it is to be able to sustain after that.

it's a INTERNATIONAL theme park people so the price is quite reasonable for it. I've never seen such international theme parks that cost RM 70 or below for entry fee and this is not our local brand theme parks like Geting, Sunway, Cosmo World etc. Personall I don't think Legoalnd Malaysia will lower the price if not they'll loss lots of money because they still have to pay the workers & theme park maintains to make sure all the rides are safe for visitors.

Lego is infect a well known toy among most of us and also a work renowned brand.
lets compare.
Universal studios pricing and lego land's pricing
Adult Child
One Day Peak Pass | 74 | 54 |
Prices stated are in SGD
X 2.42 * current conversion rate.
Adult RM179.08
Child RM 130.68
Legoland
RM 140 Adult -30 =RM90
RM 110 Child -30 =RM80
On top of that RM30 rebate for Mykard holders.
Remember legoland is a world class park with a world class brand. License fees, operation cost, land cost, and etc must be accounted for. Thus, it can not be compared to theme parks like genting or sunway lagoon.

i have been to disneyworld in orlando, disneyland in LA, universal studios in orlando, disneyland in hong kon****niversal studios in Singapore and the price for this Legoland theme park in Malaysia is reasonable when compared to all these theme parks around the world. @seb julian, i doubt this will be a white elephant as this is an international project helmed by Legoland itself, a well known brand and name and thus they would be ensuring the theme park's quality and competitiveness all the time. and dont forget, this park is a lot bigger in area as compared to universal studios in singapore. and why are u being so negative anyway? is it bcos u are a singaporean who wishes to see it being built in singapore instead? regardless, this is good for both singapore and malaysia as tourists will flock both ways to visit both theme parks. so why be such a sour grape? btw when i was at universal studios singapore in june this year, it did not impress me much. i felt that it was too expensive for the limited rides that it has with very limited shades. probably that has changed but my kids actually enjoyed hong kong disneyland many times more, and had even more fun at our own local sunway lagoon. so @dorch, if u ask me, even universal studios was not worth it when i was there mid this year. then again, it takes time to improve on rides and increase the variety of rides, so let's not be too negative. and as for cleanliness, it is all down to the attitude of the visitors. the park i am sure would ensure it but i do hope that malaysians would learn to use the bins and dispose litters appropriately. my kids and i are definitely looking forward to this LegoLand :)

Well, it is true the price is a bit high even for a middle income family. A typical malaysian family with both parents and 3 kids will cost RM390 + RM450=RM840 and this is a lot of money to spend just for an entertainment. This is not yet considering accommodation, transport, food etc. Maybe the place will see many family's visit at the beginning as a curiosity factor but they may not see too many repeated local visitors due the price. If tourist do not support it, the place may end up unprofitable, I would say. The price should be high for an international brand like Lego but local price standard need to be looked at as well to determine what's the right price. Hopefully it will remain successful.

My husband and I are getting the annual pass (for the kids as well, of course) and we plan to go at least 3 times in 2013! It's just down south, you don't need a passport (if you're already in Malaysia), AND it's near Malaysia's version of the Chic Outlet Shopping Villages - Johor Premium Outlets! Hopefully we won't get bored of the rides, but I'm sure our kid will love it no matter how many times we go, so that makes it worth it. And we love short travel breaks anyway. We had to go to USS two times (split in 2 years) to really experience all the rides, so if Legoland is bigger, coming back again and again shouldn't be a problem.

@Nadzri Harun, how u calculate this it's v 3 kids, the price is 3*80=rm240 (110 initially, but rebate 30 for mykad holder, that's why it only costs 80) even though v their parents (father n mother, it only costs(140-30)*2)=220), so total spending cost only 240+220=RM460, how can it be rm840...wondering
