Secluded beaches are one of the Royal National Park's hidden gems, like this one at Wattamolla where one of many local streams weaves its way into the sea and the locals engage in some [illicit] cliff driving. It was the perfect final stop before heading back to Sydney on a New South Wales road trip that spanned 450km in a single day. Generally, people do the Grand Pacific Drive in stages with overnight stays, taking it further south towards Brisbane and enjoying its pleasures at a more leisurely rate.
