The landmarked Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn is shown, Thursday, May 12, 2011, in New York. The Beaux-Arts style monument was designed by John Hemingway Duncan and is set within Grand Army Plaza. The Plaza was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux.
