Tucked away behind walls in an affluent neighbourhood by the banks of the Thames in west London, this hidden treasure was once home to herbs grown for 17th century apothecaries and healers which were used for curing all manner of ailments.

The garden is one of the oldest of its kind on the planet, a unique living museum and offers an island of tranquillity in the midst of London's urban sprawl.
