London's vibrant arts scene may be one of the most-forward thinking on the planet, but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of people passionate about keeping the cultures of England's past alive.

The good, ahem, folk at the English Folk Dance and Song Society are a committed collective dedicated to preserving the country's traditional music and dance, and they hold regular talks, concerts and ceilidh in their base at Cecil Sharp House near Regent's Park.
