Enjoy nature in air-conditioned comfort
The glassy shells of the climate-controlled conservatories at the Bay South Garden look like crash-landed alien ships from a distant planet. Inside, they are equally out of this world - or at least, out of Singapore. Swirling mists and soaring walls of exotic plants greet you in the Cloud Forest, while a sun-drenched garden stays mysteriously cool at midday in the Flower Dome.
The Bay South Garden, which opened this morning, is the largest of three gardens forming the Gardens by the Bay. Opening at 5am and closing at 2am daily, the gardens are a photographer's paradise with ample time to set up for 'Golden Hour' shots at sunrise and sunset. They will also thrill Singaporeans who want to enjoy nature in air-conditioned comfort. Throw in concerts and restaurants, and we're sure that the gardens will be the next hangout hotspot.
