Royal Botanic Gardens

The 30-hectar Royal Botanic Gardens is a historical place, home to Australia's first vegetable patch - Governor Philip planted the first European vegetable here more than 200 years ago. Not to be missed is Mrs Macquarie's Chair, a sculpture carved out of sandstone by convicts in 1810.
