Federation Square

Federation Square is one of the city's most iconic landmarks and encapsulates Melbourne's identity as a city of culture and diversity. Fed Square, as it is affectionately known among locals, is home to Australian culture centres, coffee shops, restaurants and specialty stores.

The Ian Potter Centre is dedicated exclusively to Australian art, while the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) has the world's largest dedicated screen gallery and celebrates film, television and digital culture.

There is never a dull moment at Fed Square with over 2000 events each year filling the civic centre with festivals, exhibitions, performances, concerts and more.
